RABAT, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan King Mohammed VI has granted clemency to 1,484 prisoners on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, a major Islamic festival celebrated Monday in Moroccoonlinebingogcash.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Justice on Sunday, 1,209 inmates included in the pardon experienced a reduction in their prison sentences, while 275 others benefited from the annulment of either prison terms or fines or even bothonlinebingogcash.

The royal pardon is customary in Morocco to mark important anniversaries or religious holidays.■
