"If the Fed leaves interest rates unchanged but more countries decide to move forward with easing rather than wait for the Fed to act, policy divergence could keep the dollar strong for longer," strategists such as Kamakshya Trivedi and Joseph Briggs wrote in a note to clients. Analysts expect Canada, the UK and the eurozone to cut interest rates in June.
